2026 Spring Season - Registration is OPEN!
Welcome to Leyden Eagles Spring Hockey Season! The spring season starts in late March and runs through end of May/early June. Our program is made up of players from East & West Leyden, Niles North, Niles West, Elmwood Park and Ridgewood High Schools. Eligible players for the spring season are current 8th graders through juniors who will live in one of the above school districts in the fall of 2026. In addition, previous hockey experience is required to participate.
Our home rink is the Franklin Park Ice Arena and the team(s) will play in the Illinois High School Hockey League - North-Central Division Spring League. The details for the spring league are still being finalized but the expectation is 6 to 8 spring games and 8 to 10 practices.
The 2026 Spring player fees are the following:
- Skaters: $750
- Goalies: $300
The above fees include all games, practices, a reversible practice jersey and hockey socks.
A payment plan is available for spring with 50% of the fee due at registration and the remaining balance due on 3/31.
Fall / Winter Season
Welcome to Leyden Eagles Hockey! Our program is made up of players from East & West Leyden, Niles North, Niles West, Elmwood Park and Ridgewood High Schools. A player must live in one of those school districts to qualify to play on the Eagle Hockey team. In addition, previous hockey experience is required to participate. Current players have played on the Franklin Park Panthers, Chicago Blues, Chicago Bulldogs, Niles Rangers, and Mammoth to name a few.
The fall/winter season runs from approximately September to February. Our home rink is the Franklin Park Ice Arena and are a member of the Illinois High School Hockey League - North-Central Division, the team normally plays in the Varsity Gold level. The team competes in both the league and state tournaments. In addition, the team typically plays in two weekend tournaments during the season.
The 25/26 player fees were as follows:
- Skaters: $4,500
- Goalies: $2,700
- New Player Uniform Kit: $550
Payment plans are available to help spread the cost of fees over the season.
